Doris Marie Harris Kasinger, age 79, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 29, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Kasinger was born in Hopkinsville, KY, on February 22, 1944, the daughter of the late Calvin and Magalene “Maggie” Powell Harris. Doris was a retired kitchen supervisor and cook from Pinecrest Manor now Bradford Heights. She was a member of Crosspoint Ministries. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dalford Dwight Kasinger; her son, Danny Ray Encinias; her daughter, Joyce Magalene Encinias; her sisters, Joyce Jones and Dorothy Henderson.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Encinias of Alabama; her daughters, Vickie Cardwell of Crofton, KY, Donna Hodge of Crofton, KY, Nina Cook of Hopkinsville, KY, Deana Garrett (Jimmy) of Alabama, Shelly Minchey (David) of Hopkinsville, KY; her brother, Calvin Harris (Donna) of Diamond, KY; her sisters, Wilma Skinner (Roy) of Hopkinsville, KY, Linda Armstrong of Hopkinsville, KY, Helen Gilford (Robert) of Hopkinsville, KY, Brenda Cardwell of Hopkinsville, KY, Bernadine Stokes of Hopkinsville, KY; her fifteen grandchildren; her thirty-four great-grandchildren; and her thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
