Hopkinsville Councilwoman Charged With Tampering With A Witness

A member of Hopkinsville City Council was arrested on a complaint warrant Thursday afternoon.

According to a Hopkinsville Police report, 55-year old Jamie Lienberger was taken into custody on East 23rd Street shortly before 2:30 p.m. on the strength of a warrant signed by Christian County District Court Judge Foster Cotthoff.

Lienberger is charged with tampering with a witness, a Class D Felony. At this time, no other information has been released about what led to the charge.

Lienberger has served Ward 9 since January 1 after she defeated longtime councilwoman Patricia Waddell Bell in the 2022 General Election.
