An apartment at Eagle Crossing Apartments on Calvin Drive was damaged in a fire Monday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Firefighters say they were called for smoke in the apartment just after 5 p.m. and found a mattress on fire in a bedroom.
The fire was quickly extinguished but due to the damage the people staying in the apartment will be temporarily displaced.
No one was injured in the fire.
