Hopkinsville Woman Charged With Trafficking Fentanyl

A Hopkinsville woman was charged with trafficking drugs after a traffic stop on East 1st Street in Hopkinsville Sunday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they stopped 22-year-old Natalie Bowling after she was seen disregarding a stop sign at Howell Street and during the stop, officers could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

When they told her they were going to search the vehicle she reportedly grabbed a handful of pills and dropped them in the floorboard.

Police say during the search 10 M30 pills, marijuana, and Hydrocodone pills were found.

She was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, instructional permit violations, trafficking fentanyl, tampering with physical evidence, failure to maintain required insurance, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), and disregarding a stop sign.
