Two men were charged with assaulting a man during an attempted robbery on North Main Street in Hopkinsville Sunday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 23-year-old Keyivoran Pettigrew and 32-year-old Darius Clark stopped a man on a bicycle and Pettigrew hit the man in the face while trying to take his bike.
An ambulance was called to check out the man but he did not want to be transported to the hospital.
Clark and Pettigrew were both arrested and charged with attempted second-degree robbery. Pettigrew was also arrested on an active warrant for failure to appear.
