Man Charged After Christian County High-Speed Pursuit

A Christian County man was charged after a high-speed pursuit on Interstate 24 Friday morning.

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Danny Collings says they attempted to stop 24-year-old Tequan Owen on Pennyrile Parkway at the Interstate 24 exit after he was seen going 118 mph.

He reportedly fled at speeds of 140 mph getting onto Interstate 24 westbound then exiting at the Gracey Herndon Road exit where deputies used a precision immobilization technique to stop the pursuit.

Owen was checked out by EMS before he was arrested and charged with speeding, first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, failure to use a proper signal, no insurance reckless driving, and possession of marijuana.
