Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree is warning county residents to keep a close eye on their personal property in response to a string of burglaries in neighboring counties.

Sheriff Acree says all residents need to remember to secure their vehicles and doors when left unoccupied. He says the surrounding counties have recently experienced a rash of burglaries and thefts. Several guns and valuable items have been reported to their respective agencies.

Sheriff Acree says fortunately, his office has not had any reports reflecting these complaints. The sheriff says the department will continue 24-hour patrols as always and deputies will be conducting saturated patrols in the rural parts of our county. If you need assistance, please call 911 if an emergency or the Sheriff’s Office at 270-522-6014.
