Memorial services for 71-year-old Diana Faith Roper, of Cadiz, will be 2 PM Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home.
Burial will be at a later date in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Visitation will be from 1 PM until the service.
Survivors include:
Two sisters, Linda (Larry) Hightower, of Cadiz, and Nora Smith, of Lake City, Colorado;
One brother-in-law, Guy Hayes, of Cadiz;
And several nieces and nephews.
She died at 8:30 AM Monday, October 23, 2023, at her home in Cadiz.
Born January 14, 1952, in Montrose, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Daniel F. Roper and the late Sonya Chambers Roper.
She was a talented impressionistic artist who also enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She loved spending time with all of her family and especially enjoyed the visits to the mountains of Lake City, Colorado.
She was a 19-year participant to Active Day of Hopkinsville and was formerly an active participant of the Special Olympics. Diana was a charter member of the Bienvaje (The Journey) Dance Group and was honored to perform at the Kennedy Performing Arts Center in Washington, D.C., as well as in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she received a standing ovation.
