Details Released In Hopkinsville Officer-Involved Crash

Authorities have released the names of two people injured in a wreck on Fort Campbell Boulevard Wednesday night.

Hopkinsville Police say an SUV driven by 36-year-old Jessica Creamer, of Hopkinsville, was turning onto Fort Campbell Boulevard from the Exxon parking lot and pulled into the path of a northbound SUV driven by Hopkinsville Police Officer Charles Wiggington.

Wiggington was responding to a call of another officer needing assistance in a pursuit and was running lights and sirens at the time of the crash.

Creamer told police she could see a vehicle coming in the area of KFC and thought she would have time to cross but also stated she didn’t see the officer coming.

Wiggington and Creamer were treated and transported by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health for injuries.

Police say while investigating the crash it was determined Creamer had consumed alcoholic beverages at Buffalo Wild Wings before the crash. Creamer was also found to have let her car insurance lapse.

The crash happened in front of Rally’s just before 9 p.m.
