Funeral services for 89-year-old James W. Fort, of Pembroke, will be 2 PM Sunday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Pembroke’s Rosedale Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until the funeral hour.
Survivors include:
Sons, Mike Fort (Jody), of Hopkinsville, and Randy Fort (Bernidea), of Trenton;
Daughter, Rita Faye Fort Sauls, of Kirkmansville;
Brothers, Allison Fort (Dianna) of Hopkinsville, and Wayne Fort (Dianne), of Hopkinsville;
Sister, Joanna Fort Watson, of Hopkinsville;
Seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Rev. Gary Michael Templeman is officiating.
He was born June 25, 1934, in Hopkinsville, the son of the late James W. and Willie Susan Nichols Fort. He was a surveyor for the Kentucky Department of Transportation, and was a member of Fairview Methodist church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Nell Fort; his brothers, Phillip, Doris, Elmer, and Steven Fort; his sister, Barbara Fort Meacham.
