Funeral services for 75-year-old Darla Lynn Payne Congdon, of Hopkinsville, will be 10 AM Saturday at St. John’s Methodist Church.
Burial will follow in the Rosedale Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Friday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Survivors include:
Two sons, Shane Congdon (Carrie), of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and Kyle Congdon (Heather) of Henderson;
Brother, Henry Bates “Butch” Payne, Jr., (Brenda), of Pembroke;
Sister, Betty Banton, of Louisville;
And four grandchildren.
Rev. Robert Hoffman is officiating.
She was born September 2, 1948, in Hopkinsville, as the daughter of late Henry Bates Payne Sr. and Dorothy Louise Beard Payne.
She was a loving wife, mother, “Nana,” sister and educator. She was a friend to everyone, and loved to travel, shop and just spend time with friends and family. She was a member of St. John’s Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Ray Congdon, in 2021.
