If you use Russellville Road to get on the Pennyrile Parkway to go south, you'll need to find another route for the next few weeks.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said the southbound ramp at Exit 9 will close Wednesday so that crews can install drainage structures and correct the slopes on entry ramp.
The southbound direction of the Pennyrile Parkway will be reduced to one lane between the Pembroke Road exit and the Concord Lane exit. Drivers are encouraged to access the southbound Pennyrile Parkway using the Pembroke Road exit.
Officials expect the work to be completed and the ramp reopened by October 6.
