A Cadiz man was charged with assaulting a woman over money on Wallace Avenue in Trigg County Wednesday morning.
Cadiz Police say they were called to the home for a domestic dispute and found 40-year-old Christopher Ladd who appeared to be under the influence of drugs. After talking with a woman at the residence, she told police Ladd pushed her onto the bed and choked her.
Police say Ladd claimed he and the woman had used meth the night before the argument.
Ladd was arrested and charged with first-degree strangulation, public intoxication, and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).
