Christian County School Board To Consider Bids For Consolidated High School

The Christian County Board of Education will consider bids for the consolidated high school facility to be constructed near the intersection of Ft. Campbell Boulevard and Lovers Lane.

A special called meeting will begin Thursday afternoon at 3:00 at the board office on Glass Avenue.

The consolidated high school, which would bring Christian County High School and Hopkinsville High School under one roof, will be able to hold up to 2,900 students. It’s expected to open before the fall of 2026.

The initial bids and four alternates to be approved for the school come with a price tag of at least $106.4 million. The board will also consider the school’s colors, name, and mascot.

Following the first meeting, the Christian County Schools District Finance Corporation will meet and establish a chairman, vice-chairman, secretary, and treasurer and approve a resolution issuing bonds for the project.
