The historic Canton Hotel has new owners, a new name, and a game plan to show off the location to guests and locals as a bed and breakfast.

Joey and Allison Ruff recently purchased the 3,400-square-foot building with the intention of making it a nice place where people can stay and soak in the county’s history.

Renamed the Red Brick Inn at the Canton Hotel, Joey Ruff said they will be having an open house Saturday from 10:00 to 4:30 to give the public a glimpse of their vision.

In 1980, the hotel was placed on the National Register for Historic Places.

The Red Brick Inn features five bedrooms with a private bath as well as a kitchen, living room, and den. Allison has a degree in interior design and made sure that each room has a historical theme.
