Hopkinsville Mayor J.R. Knight was joined by a small group in Henderson, Kentucky on Monday, where those on hand were learning about ways to improve the downtown district.
Knight was joined by Christian County Chamber of Commerce President Taylor Hayes, South Western Kentucky EDC Director Carter Hendricks, and Community & Development Services Executive Director Tom Britton.
He said the trip served as a time to learn about how Henderson’s downtown district attracts businesses.
Knight added the biggest takeaway of the trip was seeing where businesses have opened in the downtown district.
Officials from Henderson will be in Hopkinsville over the weekend and into next week to see the downtown district and help provide ideas for revitalization projects that could be done.
