Man Charged After Saturday Morning Hit-And-Run Crash

A Hopkinsville man was charged after he reportedly fled on foot from police after a wreck Saturday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they were responding to a hit-and-run collision on East 21st Street when they located a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Ricky Bradshaw on South Virginia Street that fit the description of the vehicle that fled. When the officer got behind the vehicle Bradshaw allegedly got out and tried to walk away and would not stop.

Police say he was tased twice and then got into a tussle with law enforcement before being arrested. He reportedly had an expired registration plate and was operating the vehicle on a DUI-suspended license.

He also allegedly tossed a bag of synthetic marijuana into the roadway. He was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, no tail lamps, no registration plates, resisting arrest, driving on a DUI-suspended license, possession of synthetic drugs, and tampering with physical evidence.
