Ronnie Blakeley, 80, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Bradford Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Stewart Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Cerulean, KY he was born November 12, 1942, the son of the late William and Cecil Lorene Blakeley. He retired as Deputy Chief of the Hopkinsville Fire Department after 32 years of service. He also worked at Workman’s Auto Glass for 25 years and was a farmer. He was a member of Cerulean Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: William Earl Blakeley; and his sister: Jean Woods.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years: Ida “Evie” Blakeley; his sons: Jason (Lori) Blakeley and Jayme (Tisha) Blakeley both of Hopkinsville, KY; and his grandchildren: Taylor Blakeley and Kinley Deason.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Christian County Animal Shelter.
