Elkton Man Faces Drug Charges After Cadiz Traffic Stop

An Elkton man was charged with possession of drugs after a traffic stop on Main Street in Cadiz Saturday night.

Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped 46-year-old James Gibson for having tape across his windshield and during the stop, the license plate on the vehicle was found to be from another vehicle.

The correct plate was reportedly found inside the vehicle and was canceled due to no insurance.

Deputies say he was found to have marijuana, a meth pipe, and meth in his pocket.

He was arrested and charged with obstructed vision and/or windshield, no registration plates, improper display of registration plates, failure to maintain required insurance, possession of meth, and possession of marijuana.
