Discovery Park Of America Auctioning Two Antique Tractors

Officials with Discovery Park of America, located in Union City, Tennessee, have announced considerable details for the return of its popular “Antique Tractor Show.”

Now in its seventh year, it’s sponsored by First Choice Farm and Lawn – Kubota, and will be held Friday, August 4 and Saturday, August 5.

And while the show has been a building tradition since the park’s creation, a new opportunity has come available this summer: a live tractor auction.

On the block from the Park’s collection: a 1940 Allis-Chalmers C, and a 1956 Farmall 350. Each come with a minimum bid of $1,000.

Karl Johnson, director/organizer, notes that leadership remain “amazed each year” with the number of “incredible tractors” showing up each year, and that attendance has successively grown.

Children are encouraged to attend and visit the Simmons Bank Ag Center from 10 AM until 5 PM on both of these days, in order to play on pedal tractors sponsored by Tennessee Farm Bureau.

A showcase of the latest tractors and mowers will also be sponsored by First Choice Farm and Law.

A tractor parade is around the park’s property is planned for 2 PM Saturday, August 5. The park will remain open until 5 PM.

Those who have an antique tractor they would like to display should take it to Discovery Park from 3 until 6 PM Thursday, August 3, from 8 AM until 4 PM Friday, August 4, or from 8 AM until noon Saturday, August 5 to have it displayed in the show. Everyone who enters a tractor for display will also receive two free passes to Discovery Park.

Union City is about 90 minutes from Cadiz and Princeton, and about two hours from Hopkinsville.
