Two Legacy Farms Honored By Christian County Farm Bureau

The Christian County Farm Bureau honored two Legacy Farms during their annual meeting Thursday at the Western Kentucky State Fair.

Farm Bureau Area Program Director Tony Holloway says the Legacy Farm program was established to recognize the contribution of farms across the state of Kentucky.

click to download audioBoth farms received a framed award certificate and a sign to display on their farm.

Meanwhile, President Greg Campbell noted he is proud to be leading Christian County Farm Bureau for the next two years. Campbell said the county organization provides several services for members.

click to download audioThe Outstanding Farm Bureau Youth Contest was won by Bailey Kington and Brant Cansler. Jennie Watts won the variety show. All the winners will represent Christian County in an area competition in October.

Lacy Orem, Wesley Parker, Tom Folz, Steve Williamson, Allen Cunningham, Heather Cansler, John David Berry, Jack Orem, and Robbie Massey were elected to serve on the board of directors.

Farm members heard annual reports from Christian County Farm Bureau Agency Managers Gary Keeton and Ashtyn Hudson, and approved the policies presented by Wesley Parker.
