Man Found In Possession Of Stolen Vehicle Arrested

A La Vergne, Tennessee man was charged with receiving stolen property and was arrested on several warrants on Waddell Circle Wednesday night.

Hopkinsville Police say they were alerted by city cameras of a stolen vehicle in the area of Evergreen Park Drive and Glass Avenue and located 22-year-old Joiyne Robinson where the vehicle was parked. He allegedly tried to use his brother’s name and date of birth as his own and admitted to hiding the keys to the car in a dresser inside the house.

During the investigation, he was found to have a failure to appear warrant out of Jefferson County, an indictment warrant out of Barren County for possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, speeding, reckless driving, first-degree criminal mischief, and two counts of first-degree fleeing or evading police.

In Hopkinsville, he was charged with receiving stolen property, giving officers false identifying information, and tampering with physical evidence.
