Woman Charged In Stolen Vehicle Investigation

A woman was charged with receiving stolen property and tampering with physical evidence Monday afternoon.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 42-year-old Angela Garcia was stopped in a vehicle on East 9th Street she had borrowed but would not return to the owner.

The vehicle was seen in the area by Hopkinsville city cameras then located at AutoZone. The vehicle was reportedly returned to the owner after the traffic stop.

Hopkinsville Police say Garcia was transported to the hospital for an ankle injury and then taken to jail and during the body scan she was found to have a glass pipe.

She is charged with receiving stolen property, first-degree promoting contraband and tampering with physical evidence.
