Funeral services for 74-year-old Barbara Elaine Slaughter Boyd, of Hermitage, Tennessee, and formerly of Hopkinsville, will be 1 PM Friday at Latham Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Todd County.
Visitation will be from 11 AM until the funeral hour. Services will be live-streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com.
Survivors include:
Two sisters, Linda Rogers (Robert), of Georgetown, and Mary Powell, of Clifty;
Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Rev. Rodney Skipworth will be officiating.
Boyd died at 10:42 PM Tuesday, June 19, 2023, at The Waters in Springfield, Tennessee.
Born August 20, 1948, in Todd County, she was a certified professional secretary for the state of Kentucky and Tennessee for 40 years.
She was a member of the Hermitage Baptist Church and had been a member of New Harmony General Baptist Church.
She loved to go to flea markets, and also to make and collect jewelry.
She’s preceded in death by her husband Dennis Ray Boyd, parents Warren T. Slaughter and Verna Garrett Slaughter.
