Burial in Pembroke’s Rosedale Cemetery for 70-year-old Gary L. Buckner, of Hopkinsville, will be held at a later date.
Goodwin’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include:
Two brothers, Craig (Kathy) Buckner, of Hopkinsville, and Parris Buckner of Miami, Florida.
He died Monday, June 5, 2023, at Bradford Heights Nursing & Rehab Center in Hopkinsville.
He was born January 29, 1953, in Miami, Florida, as the son of the late John C. Buckner and Wilma Logston Buckner.
He retired from South West Montgomery County Schools in 2012, where he had taught 11th grade history. He received his college degree from Austin Peay State University, and was an avid reader who enjoyed going on walks in his neighborhood.
