Funeral services for 94 year-old J.B. Hyde of Cerulean, KY. will be Thursday, June 8, at 2:00 p.m. at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
J.B. Hyde died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Bradford Heights Nursing & Rehabilitation.
A native of Lamasco, KY he was born June 4, 1928 the son of the late James Leonard Hyde and Lola Gertrude Hooks Hyde. He was the owner and operator of the Hyde Oil Company and a farmer. He served in the United States Army and the National Guard. He was a member and former deacon at First Baptist Church. He was also a Gideon, a Mason, and a member of the Scottish Rite.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Dorothy Hyde.; and his sister: Rosa Scranton Kirk.
Survivors include his sons: Jim Hyde of Hopkinsville, KY and Jeff Hyde of Denton, TX; his daughters: Janet (Rick) Rinehart of Cerulean, KY and Joyce (Stan) Marion of Merritt Island, FL; his grandchildren: Justin (Elizabeth) Hyde, Jessica Hyde, Lindsey (Brian) Gilpin, Scott (Lydia) Marion, Elizabeth Marion, Sarah Marion, Conner Rinehart, and Margaret Rinehart; and his great grandchildren: Chloe Mae Gilpin and James Henry Hyde.
