CRAFT NIGHT
Join us June 8th at 5:30 in the library’s basement for craft night! You will be able to customize a travel cup with stickers, markers, recycled book pages, and other materials. Supplies are limited so please be sure to register! Call 270-522-6301 to sign-up. This program is for all ages!
June 14th
Smokey the Bear Poster Contest: Sponsored by Gateway Garden Club (Wed. June 14th 10 a.m. Basement)
That day, students will create a poster featuring Smokey the Bear and his message, “Only You Can Prevent Wildfires!” Supplies will be provided. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Entries will be sent to the state garden club to compete. State winners will be sent to the national contest. The winner at the national level will win a trip to Washington, D.C. Stop by the front desk at the library to sign-up for this event
June 17th
The Education Trail and Legacy Tales: Juneteenth Celebration (Saturday June 17, 3:00-5:00 p.m. Basement)
Speaker: Calandra Watts, native of Trigg Co.
At this event, they will be Honoring Naomi Thomas Birl, a Trigg Co. treasure and a 1955 graduate of Old Dunbar School in Cadiz. There will also be a display of original documents, photos, and other exhibits featuring the history of Dunbar and McUpton Schools. The afternoon will be topped off with a Juneteenth Celebration Forum featuring music and activities for all ages. Refreshments will be served.
June 19th
Monday 9:30-11:00 in basement: Amber Roy, a representative from the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs will be on site to answer any questions about benefits available to veterans. They do ask that you call the library at (270) 522-6301 to sign-up. They will be serving doughnuts and coffee, so they would like a number of attendees so they provide enough refreshments.
GAME NIGHT
On Monday, June 19th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. we will be having a Family Game Night! There will be board games, card games, and more! You are welcome to bring your own board games to play. Game Night is for game lovers of all ages!

Summer Reading Begins July 3
