Trigg Chamber Seeking Leadership Applications For 2023-24 Class

Applications are due by June 23 for the Leadership Cadiz/Trigg County Chamber of Commerce Class of 2023-24, which will continue to be a program designed to develop key skills of members in the community.

The annual goal is bring together individuals of diverse backgrounds and experiences, but who also have exhibited talents for commitment, planning and follow-through.

It’s civic-oriented, and focuses on the future of Cadiz and Trigg County.

The program includes the following:

— One full day of class every month, involving various locations throughout the south western Kentucky area.

— Networking with community leaders and other leadership and non-profit organizations.
— Small group discussions.
— Facility tours.
— Community service events.
— Training in leadership skills.
— And completion of a community project in one year’s time.

The selection criteria is competitive and extensive. A committee will choose up to 20 participants for the class, beginning with a need of full support from organizations/businesses allowing their employees commit the time and effort required by the course load.

Because of the chosen honor, full attendance is mandatory — including the opening retreat, the Chamber of Commerce annual dinner and the encompassing class project. One can miss a single full session, but should make it up with the class in the following year.

Tuition helps cover meals and instructional materials used throughout the year. The cost is $250 for Chamber members, and $300 for non-members. Partial scholarships and sponsorships could be available for hardship.

Applicants will be notified by July 10 of their potential acceptance. Those not chosen should be encouraged to re-apply in following years.
