Funeral services for 83-year old Henry Robert Hollingsworth of Elkton will be Thursday, June 1, at 1:00 at Petrie United Methodist Church in Elkton.
Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 11 until 1 at the church.
Latham Funeral Home in Elkton is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Hollingsworth was born April 19, 1940 in Todd County. He was retired from Pennyrile Rural Electric where he served as the Branch Manager of the Elkton Office. Mr. Hollingsworth served in the Army Reserves. He was a member of Petrie Methodist Church, and a Mason. He was an avid golfer. Mr. Hollingsworth loved taking care of his dogs, Heather and Ashley, visiting with his friends on the courthouse square, worshiping with his church family and growing tomatoes.
He is preceded in death by his parents John Thomas Hollingsworth and Eura Sue Salmon Hollingsworth, his brothers Thomas, John Walter, and Albert Lewis “Luke” Hollingsworth, his sisters Elizabeth Latham, Ann Lee Lynch, and Maria Hollingsworth Wells.
He is survived by his daughter Sandra Ann Hollingsworth of Cottonwood, TN, his sisters Nancy Kathleen Hollingsworth Blackford of Cadiz, KY and Linda Hollingsworth Hollis of Hopkinsville, KY, his granddaughter Kristen Mahoney and her husband Justin of Cottonwood, TN, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
