Among the various final activities for the Class of 2023 in Christian County includes a final walk-through of the high and middle schools for the graduating seniors.
Superintendent Chris Bentzel tells Your News Edge that both classes will do that before graduation Friday night.
Before the walk-throughs, the students are tasked with writing at least three letters.
The senior walk-through events at Christian County Public Schools started about eight years ago at Christian County High, with Hopkinsville High School following suit not long after.
Bentzel says the idea came from a friend at Franklin-Simpson High School in Franklin, Kentucky.
Graduation ceremonies for both schools will be held at the Stadium of Champions in Hopkinsville Friday evening. Christian County High School seniors will graduate during a 5:00 PM ceremony, with Hopkinsville High School to follow at 8:30 PM.
