Two Teenagers Charged After A High-Speed Pursuit

A pursuit with a stolen vehicle out of Nashville ended in Oak Grove Tuesday night.

Christian County emergency personnel say Tennessee Highway Patrol got into a pursuit with a car they tried to stop for reckless driving on Interstate 24 and it crossed into Kentucky.

The pursuit ended when the car collided with two law enforcement vehicles on the westbound exit 86 ramp.

The driver was identified by Nashville Police as 15-year-old Rashaad Compton, his passenger 17-year-old Edwardontavious Phillips, and a 16-year-old who was also in the car were arrested.

Nashville Police say Compton and Phillips had pulled a pistol and demanded the keys to a car owned by a 51-year-old restaurant worker on 12th Avenue in Nashville before they punched him and pulled him out of the car.

Tennessee Highway Patrol was assisted by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, Oak Grove Police, Oak Grove Fire Department, and Hopkinsville EMS.
