Superintendent Bentzel Gets High Marks

As the school year at Christian County Public Schools comes to an end, the Board of Education is giving high marks to the man in charge. The School Board voted Thursday night to approve the Superintendent evaluation. Board Chair Tom Bell says Superintendent Chris Bentzel received a rating of exemplary in all categories for 2022-2023.

click to download audioThey also want him to be a driving force behind initiatives that help students acquire 21st-century skills, an environment that creates and values diversity, new teacher and staff recruitment and retention as well as succession plans for key positions, and implement proactive partnerships with community colleges.

click to download audioThe board and Bentzel also acknowledged Assistant Superintendent Josh Hunt’s service to the district and his success at being named superintendent in McCracken County.
