Hopkinsville Seeking Grant To Help With Debris Clean Up

The City of Hopkinsville is asking for emergency funds to help with debris clean up costs. Tuesday night, City Council unanomously approved applying for the FEMA grant.

click to download audioCity Council also approved the second reading of the ordinance establishing a Small Business Commission as well as ordinances placing stop signs on Donna and Silvey Roads.

Several appointments were also made Tuesday: Jim Fleming to the Housing Authority of Hopkinsville Board; Becky Dearman, Crystal Ferreira, Kenneth Means, Yasamin Ausenbaugh, and Ishani Shah to the Human Rights Commission; Phillip Eastman, Lee Conrad and Councilman Travis Martin to the South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council; Sharon Craft Chilton to the Hopkinsville Electric System Board; Tracey Brumfield and Jim Blair to the Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority Board; and Russell Hayes, Crystal Ferreira, Chris Gilkey, and Wayne Goolsby to the Pennyroyal Area Museum Board of Directors.
