Statewide Races Highlight Tuesday’s Primary Election

Statewide races for Governor, Commissioner of Agriculture, and other statewide offices will be on the ballot during Tuesday’s Primary Election.

Christian County Clerk Melinda Humphries says the primary election will offer voters a chance to participate in their respective party primary elections.

Trigg County Clerk Carmen Finley says voting will take place at a number of locations in Cadiz and Trigg County.

click to download audioFinley says 340 voters cast ballots early in Trigg County, with 50 absentee ballots mailed, and 7 voting absentee in Trigg County.

Humphries says 680 voters cast ballots early in Christian County on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with 15 people voting absentee, and 39 ballots returned by mail so far.
