Gracey Man Charged With Causing Damage To A Rental Home

A Gracey man was arrested on several warrants for several charges including criminal mischief and custodial interference Thursday morning.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 30-year-old Kevin Okum was evicted from a home in Gracey and removed a washer and dryer valued at $600 along with leaving the home in terrible condition.

Dog feces and urine were reportedly on the floors throughout the house causing extensive damage, sinks and toilets were clogged, walls were damaged, and a couch and a car were left on the property.

In a separate warrant, he was charged with two counts of custodial interference stating that on May 5th he failed to make his two children available to authorities after temporary custody was given to them through an emergency custody order filed through Christian County Family Court.

He was arrested Thursday and charged with criminal mischief – residential rental property, theft by unlawful taking, and two counts of custodial interference.
