The Hopkinsville Food Lion will host a Kickoff for Summer Festival on Saturday, May 20.
Store Manager Trey Brogan tells Your News Edge the day will feature family-friendly activities.
Brogan says they will be collecting donations to ensure area residents don’t go hungry this summer.
There will be several ways you can support this effort.
Food Lion Feeds supports Hopkinsville’s Salvation Army, Micah Mission Center, Impact Ministry, Aaron McNeil House, and other local charities. Brogan says that around fifteen percent of Christian County residents suffer from food insecurity.
The event will take place Saturday, May 20, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Food Lion parking lot at 4305 Canton Pike in Hopkinsville.
