Rev. Wayne Glass, 80, of Princeton

Funeral services for 80-year-old Rev. Wayne Glass, of Princeton, will be held Saturday afternoon, May 13, at 2:00, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Lance Nichols Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 12, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday, May 13, from 10 am to 2 pm at Morgan’s Funeral Home.

 

He passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023, after a brief illness.

Rev. Wayne was born August 4, 1942, to the late Alton and Virginia Dearing Glass in Claxton, KY in rural Caldwell County. He started his career as an engineer for the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. In 1976, he answered God’s call to full-time ministry and was ordained on September 4, 1977. He obtained an associate’s degree from Mid Continent Bible Baptist College. He always had a smile on his face and was a compassionate soul and he will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Wright Glass of Princeton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Dunn and husband Donald of Bowling Green, Leslie Glass Hacker and husband Brian of Gracey; one son and daughter-in-law, Greg Glass and wife Leigh of Christian County; two sisters, Margaret Stallins, and husband Jim and Evelyn Hopper, all of Princeton; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Wright of Cadiz; five grandchildren, Davis Glass and wife, Amelia, John David Fourqurean and wife, Abby, Jake Glass and wife, Sarah Francis, Maggie Rager and husband, Carson, and Ella Fourqurean, and Josh Hacker; ten great-grandchildren, Carson, Khloee, Addi, Elyse, Josie and Levi Glass, Charlotte Rager, Reid, Clayton, and Olivia Fourqurean; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sue Moore, and his twin Jayne Riley; five brothers-in-law, Frank Riley, Bobby Moore, John Hopper, Kenneth Wright, and Gene Wright; and his in-laws, Lawrence and Lossie Wright.
