Drug Trafficking Complaint Leads To Cocaine Charges For Hopkinsville Man

A Hopkinsville man was charged with possession of drugs and resisting arrest after a report of a man offering people drugs on East 9th Street Thursday night.

Hopkinsville Police say they located 40-year-old Anthony Johnson who was walking away from the area and he was found to have a crack pipe in his pocket.

He reportedly resisted arrest by pulling away from officers when asked about the pipe in his pocket.

After being arrested and arriving at the jail, police say he was found to have what is believed to be crack cocaine in a cigarette pack.

He is charged with resisting arrest, first-degree promoting contraband, and possession of cocaine.
