Five Weeks Out, Hoppers Are Finalizing Plans For 2023 Season

The start of the 2023 Hoptown Hoppers summer baseball season is just over a month away with the final details still getting nailed down by the club’s brass.

Hoppers Board President Charlie Henderson said the roster for the 2023 Hoppers is just about set.

click to download audioOne of last year’s fan favorites, Joshua Rodriguez, is slated to return this summer and is expected to be joined by local players Elijah Underhill and Jacob Dilday.

Henderson said they are still searching for a few host families to house the players that come in from out of the area.

Henderson said sponsorships for this year are starting to fill up.

click to download audioThe Hoppers open the 2023 season on Thursday, June 1 at the Bowling Green Pistons, who played in Franklin the past two seasons. The Hoppers’ home opener will be on Friday, June 2 against the Paducah Chiefs.
