Jimmy Moore, 79, of Hopkinsville

A Celebration of Life for 79-year-old Jimmy D. Moore, of Hopkinsville, will be 1 PM Thursday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.

Visitation will be from 11 AM until the funeral hour Thursday.

Survivors include:
A son, Chad (Tammy) Moore of Cerulean;
A daughter, Rachel Moore (Brannon) Rager of Hopkinsville;
Two sisters, Brenda Hancock of Shelbyville, Tennessee, and Sandra Gilkey of Clarksville, Tennessee;
And three grandchildren.

Moore died Friday, March 31, 2023, at his home of natural causes.

He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on September 7, 1943, the son of the late James Macon and Mary Nell Vaughn Moore. He was a retired factory worker from Flynn’s Enterprise as well as from farming. He was a member of New Palestine Baptist Church. He proudly served is country in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Jean Cowan Moore in August 2008.
