A report of a gun inside the school led to a temporary lockdown at the Christian County Middle School Tuesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say the school resource officer was told about a student possibly having a gun and after further investigation, it was found to have been a hoax done by other students to close the school.
The students involved have been taken into custody and are being criminally charged.
