Steven ‘PawPaw’ May, 73, of Hopkinsville

Graveside services for 73-year-old Steven “PawPaw” May, of Hopkinsville, will be 10 AM Thursday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, with full military honors.

Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include:
Two step-sons, Melvin Hansley Jr. (Jessica) of Utah, Chris Hansley (Jennifer) of Christian County;
His brother, Tim May (Dori) of Tennessee;
Seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

May was born on April 19, 1949 in Garrett, Indiana, the son of the late Norbert John and Cordillia “Corky” Diederich May.

He served for more than 20 years in the US Army as an aviation mechanic and also served during the Vietnam War era. After retiring from the Army, he was a truck driver for Digby Trucking Company, where he met the love of his life, Della, and was happily married for 25 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife on January 24, 2023.
