The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of thousands of dollars worth of baseball equipment from a storage unit.
According to Sheriff Brent White, Deputy Danny Collings responded to a burglary and theft complaint at King’s Storage Units on KY 295 North of Kuttawa around 4:00 Sunday afternoon.
The investigation reportedly revealed unknown persons broke into a storage unit between January and Sunday and stole approximately $14,000 in baseball equipment including helmets, baseball bats, and uniforms. Sheriff White says the equipment had been donated to the Dawson Springs Youth League, Inc. following the December 2021 tornado event after their facilities and equipment were destroyed.
