Trigg County 9-1-1 Applying For Grant To Purchase New Furnishings

The Trigg County 9-1-1 dispatch center could receive some needed new furnishings if an application for a 9-1-1 services grant is approved.

Trigg County Fiscal Court approved a request from 9-1-1 Director Lori Jenkins said during their recent meeting to commit to matching ten percent of the grant application at a cost of more than $5,600. Jenkins says the 9-1-1 dispatch center, located in the lower level of the countyemergency operations center, is in need of major renovations.

click to download audioJudge-executive Stan Humphries told magistrates if the dispatch center does not receive the grant, the fiscal court may be asked to help fund the full purchase of the new furnishings.
