Crews from Pennyrile Electric and contract crews continue to make significant progress in restoring power to the southern Pennyrile.
According to Pennyrile Electric power has been restored to all customers in Trigg and Christian Counties. More than 40 customers remain without power in Todd County, with more than 1,000 customers without power in Logan, Butler, and Muhlenberg Counties.
Pennyrile Electric crews have continued to work 24 hours a day to restore power to all customers. Gilkey said the power outage that began Friday afternoon impacted more customers than the 2009 Ice Storm.
