The Christian County Grand Jury returned several indictments on Friday afternoon, including one for a Tennessee man who allegedly led police on a highspeed pursuit in a stolen vehicle in Hopkinsville in December of 2022.

A true bill was returned on 25-year old Dylan S. Casey, of Memphis, on multiple charges including first-degree wanton endangerment, receiving stolen property over $10,000, theft of motor vehicle, first-degree fleeing or evading police on foot, two counts of first-degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle, and resisting arrest.

According to Hopkinsville Police, a city camera notified them that a vehicle Casey was driving was reported stolen out of Georgia. When officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, Casey reportedly fled at speeds of 100 mph and failed to stop at red lights. Police said he also turned off his headlights and officers called off the pursuit due to the road conditions.

Police said the vehicle was later located and Casey was found by a K9 officer in the bathroom. As officers tried to arrest Casey, he reportedly would not comply with commands.

The child was reportedly found to have a bruise on her arm and her abdomen and had a cigarette burn on her hand.
