Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges Against Hopkinsville Woman

A traffic stop on North Jessup Street led to drug charges for a Hopkinsville woman Tuesday night.

Hopkinsville Police say they stopped 39-year-old Miriah Andrews for an improper display of vehicle registration and found it was expired during the stop.

After a search of the vehicle, 12 doses of fentanyl, 4 grams of meth, marijuana, 8 doses of Gabapentin, and a glass pipe were allegedly found.

After being arrested and taken to jail, police say more drugs were found in her belongings.

She is charged with no registration plates, improper display of registration plates, possession of meth and marijuana, first-degree promoting contraband, trafficking fentanyl, and trafficking in a controlled substance.
