Christian County Chief Circuit Judge John Atkins announced Thursday morning that swearing-in ceremonies for elected officials and their staff will be held on Thursday, December 29th this year.
He noted this is different than in years past.
click to download audioHe noted that family court judge Katherine Demps will be sworn in at 1:00 on that day with other elected officials to be sworn in at 3:00 p.m.

click to download audioJudge Atkins noted they will probably have to stagger some of the ceremonies because there are some office holders who have very large staff — for example the Christian County Sheriff’s Office and Christian County Jail.
The swearing-in ceremonies will be held at the Christian County Justice Center.
