4-H Agents In Christian And Todd Counties Recognized At National Level

4-H Agents from Christian and Todd Counties were recently recognized for their work with National Achievement Awards.

Christian County 4-H Agent Jeremiah Johnson, who is one of three 4-H Youth Development Agents in Christian County, received the National Association of Youth Professionals Distinguished Service Award. Johnson has been a 4-H agent for seven years and started his career in Henderson County.

Jeremiah’s programmatic focus is mainly on Teen Leadership, Civic Engagement, Financial Management, Agriculture, Military Youth, Natural Resources, and STEM programs. He also has served on various committees in the association and in Extension.

Christian County Cooperative Extension Agent for 4-H Youth Development

The National Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals Meritorious Service Award recognizes one 4-H Agent in Kentucky that has worked fifteen or more years in 4-H programs. Lee Ann McCuiston is the Todd County 4-H Youth Development Agent. She has worked in Todd County for 27 years.

She has successfully built a well-rounded, leader-led 4-H program comprising of project, school, and community clubs with a good balance of school enrichment programs and an exceptional camping program. McCuiston was also recognized with the 25-Year Service Award.
