Forensic Testing Still Pending In Sharpe Street Murder Case

A November pre-trial conference has been set for the Hopkinsville man charged with a fatal shooting last year as his trial date draws closer.

Mory Burse is charged with murder in the death of 48-year-old Devon Kendrick following a report of shots fired on Sharpe Street in July of last year.

Defense attorney Eric Bearden told Judge Andrew Self during Burse’s Wednesday appearance in Christian County Circuit Court that he is still waiting for some forensic testing to be completed but does not expect it to delay the December 5 trial date.
